Phototron Project

The Phototron Project started as a Christmas gift for my wife — a DIY photobooth inspired by a discontinued Polaroid machine.
It’s grown into a full hardware and software project: a custom-built booth and the software that powers it.

This page collects the full story:

📖 Part 1 – A Christmas Gift

The origin story: how a Halloween party idea became a handmade photobooth and the seed of Phototron.

🛠️ Part 2 – Building the Booth

The nuts and bolts: materials, construction, printer hacks, and how the first version came together.

💻 Part 3 – The Brains of the Booth

From PiBooth to Phototron: why the software needed to evolve, what we’ve built so far, and where it’s headed.

More posts will be added here as the project continues — future updates, new features, and behind-the-scenes notes.
