My Projects
Welcome to my messy little lab — here’s what I’ve been hacking on lately:
Dashatron
A modular dashboard I’m building to replace MagicMirror. Runs in the browser, pulls in weather, calendar, news, photos, and supports remote input via HDMI-CEC. Eventually I want it to be a living interface for whatever screen I slap it on.
PopmartBot
A side hustle to beat the scalpers. Just a Python script (for now) that auto-checks out limited drops from sites like Pop Mart. One day I might clean it up and post it. One day.
CEC Remote Integration
For Dashatron and other Pi projects, I’ve been working on mapping HDMI-CEC remote buttons to keyboard inputs or custom browser actions. Ultimate goal: control a whole interface from the couch.
Phototron
My own take on a Raspberry Pi photo booth. Started with a fork of PiBooth, now I’m rebuilding it in Node. Snapshots, overlays, prints, and possibly unicorns — it’s still in progress, but already fun to mess with.
3D Printing Tools
I’ve building custom tools to visualize and tweak flow rates, extrusion speeds, and other nerdy stuff in Klipper and slicers. Trying to squeeze better prints out of fast machines without melting everything. I plan on posting quite a bit about 3d printing once I start printing again.
Microsoft Power Platform
I’ve been building automation workflows and apps at work using the tools available to me in a quite restrictive IT environment. A lot of things nobody really sees but everyone uses. I’ve been building Power Apps and flows as part of my job in printing — change orders, label generators, proofing workflows, and multiplatform inventory catalog synching.
